Executive Director African Business Council Executive Director of the Federation of West Africa Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FEWACCI) including 15 countries members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Ambassador AMINOU AKADIRI is responsible for:
Enhancing the participation of the west African private sector in the regional economic integration process by organizing sensitization and training sessions on ECOWAS Protocol and Policies in National Chambers of Commerce;
Sharing of the West Africa business community vision and proposals to boost trade and investments at ministerial and Head of States levels;
Facilitating negotiations/implementation of regional and international trade agreements as well as promoting the development of an efficient private sector through the provision of business support services and capacity building and contributing to the objective of making the region the preferred destination for investors;
Supporting joint-ventures and co-enterprises creation in ECOWAS’S industrial strategy in agroindustry, pharmaceutical, transport, automotive, construction, and building materials.
AMINOU AKADIRI is a member of the Technical Committee in charge of organizing the ECOWAS Business Forum/ECOWAS Investment Forum and implementing of their recommendations.
In the past, he served as Consultant and Expert at the ECOWAS Commission for drafting the ECOWAS investment Policy and Code. He is UNIDO Expert for Business-to-Business connectivity
He was part of the Team which set up the ECOWAS Regional Business Association.
He is also an Executive Coordinator Member of South- South and Tripartite cooperation.
